How an Everything Portrait Is Made: From One Photo to the Finished Piece

An Everything Portrait is a hand-drawn portrait where every part of the face is filled with something the person loves. Here is exactly how one is made, and how to get the best result.
Step 1: You send one photo
Pick a photo of their face looking straight at the camera, in front of a plain wall if possible. A phone photo is fine. Avoid sunglasses, hats, heavy filters, or photos taken from far away. The clearer the face, the more the portrait will look like them.
Step 2: You make the list
Up to 15 or 30 things they love. The best lists mix big things and small things:
- Big: their team, their sport, their pet, their hometown, their favorite show or band.
- Small: the snack nobody else likes, a family inside joke, their coffee order, the car they dream about.
- People and places: the beach you go to every summer, a grandparent's flag, a trip together.
Be specific: "Miami Heat" draws better than "basketball", and "our golden retriever Bruno" better than "dog".
Step 3: You approve a sketch (within 3 days)
Azpect places every item from the list into the face and sends a sketch. You can ask for one round of changes: swap something, move something, add the thing you forgot.
Step 4: The final is drawn by hand
Every line is drawn by hand in Procreate on an iPad, with no AI and no templates. The whole process is recorded, so you get a time-lapse video of the portrait being drawn along with the finished piece.
Step 5: Digital, or printed and shipped
- Digital file: a print-ready file, $250 (up to 15 things) or $400 (up to 30).
- Canvas: 8×8 up to 30×30 inches, from $300.
- Acrylic: glossy 4 mm acrylic, 8×8 up to 24×24 inches, from $325.
- Sign-in board: 24×36 inches for parties, $550.
Prints are made and shipped anywhere in the US once you approve the final.
